What you'll learn
Description
Each year, thousands of workers are diagnosed as having noise-induced hearing loss. Exposure to excessive noise can also result in stress, fatigue, irritability, and tinnitus or ringing in the ears. If you have a noisy work environment, you and your workers could be at risk. This Protecting Your Hearing course highlights the consequences of exposure to excessive noise and the types of protection that can help reduce that exposure.
Once the course is completed, you will have learned the various sources of excessive noise levels in the workplaces, how to reduce your exposure, the different types of hearing protection to use and how to fit that protection. This course is one part of a 36-part Induction Series aimed at blue-collar workers.
